About this template
Here is a timeless way to thank volunteers for their time: the Navy Medal Museum Docent Certificate, a template that suits galleries, festivals and arts organisations. It is shown here in navy, with a medal, Fredericka the Great headings and Quattrocento for the smaller text. You will also find it under Course Completion and Achievement on CerShare.
Suggested wording
Copy one of these lines into the certificate, then replace the words in brackets.
Presented to [Name] for giving time, energy and kindness to [Cause].

With heartfelt thanks to [Name] for [120] hours of volunteering at [Organisation] in [Year].
How to customise it
Click any line to change it: the recipient’s name, the wording, the date, gallery hours, tours led and years and the signatures. Text sizes adjust to fit, and you can choose another font for any line. Need portrait instead of landscape, or US Letter instead of A4? Change it in one click. The design comes with three colour schemes (Marble, Terracotta Hall and Slate Gallery), and every single colour can be changed. There is an Arabic edition too, laid out right to left with Reem Kufi.
Printing tips
A cream, linen-textured paper of around 120 lb text (180 gsm) suits this classic layout. Download the PDF at the paper size you will print on (A4 or US Letter) and set the printer to “Actual size” or 100%. Because of the dark background, check your ink first, or send the PDF to a local print shop.
