About this template
Here is a fun way to reward students and staff: the Playful Midnight Moonlit Star Student Award, a template that suits teachers and schools. It is shown here in midnight blue, with a crescent moon, Bricolage Grotesque headings and Quicksand for the smaller text. The big, friendly type is easy for young readers to recognise as their own.
Suggested wording
Copy one of these lines into the certificate, then replace the words in brackets.
With thanks to [Name] for everything you do for the pupils of [School].
In recognition of [Name]’s excellent progress in [Subject]. Keep up the great work!
For [Name], who makes our classroom a kinder place. From [Teacher].
How to customise it
Click any line to change it: the recipient’s name, the wording, the date and the signatures. Choose A4, US Letter or A3, in landscape or portrait, and the layout rearranges itself to fit. Change the font or the size of any line if your text is longer than the sample. The design comes with three colour schemes (Midnight & Gold, Deep Violet and Ocean Night), and every single colour can be changed. Add your logo, a crest or a photo and drag it into place.
Printing tips
Print it on thick card (200–250 gsm) so it survives the fridge door. In the print dialog choose “Actual size” rather than “Fit”, so the border isn’t cropped. The background is dark, so a laser printer or a print shop will give the richest colour.
