About this template
Here is a traditional way to welcome a new member: the Navy Sunburst Fellowship Certificate, a template that suits clubs, societies and associations. The colour scheme you see, Sepia & Indigo, is one of three built into the design, with a sunburst at the heart of the layout.
Suggested wording
Copy one of these lines into the certificate, then replace the words in brackets.
With a warm welcome to [Name], our newest member since [Month Year].
This certifies that [Name] is a [Grade] member of [Organisation], admitted on [Date]. Member no. [0000].
Presented to [Name] on election to [Grade] of [Society], [Year].
How to customise it
You can rewrite the whole certificate, or keep the sample wording and just change the names. Prefer another look? Switch to the Vermilion & Lapis or Madder & Verdigris colour scheme, or pick any colour you like. Choose A4, US Letter or A3, in landscape or portrait, and the layout rearranges itself to fit. Fonts can be swapped too; the defaults are UnifrakturMaguntia and Cardo. There is an Arabic edition too, laid out right to left with Katibeh.
Printing tips
Heavy matte or parchment paper gives it the weight of an official document. Download the PDF at the paper size you will print on (A4 or US Letter) and set the printer to “Actual size” or 100%. Sign it in blue or black ink once it is printed for a personal touch.
