About this template
Here is a classic way to welcome a new member: the Burgundy Ornate Certificate of Membership, a template that suits clubs, societies and associations. The colour scheme you see, Oxblood, is one of three built into the design, with corner ornaments at the heart of the layout.
Suggested wording
Copy one of these lines into the certificate, then replace the words in brackets.
This certifies that [Name] is a [Grade] member of [Organisation], admitted on [Date]. Member no. [0000].
[Organisation] is pleased to confirm the membership of [Name], with all the rights and privileges it brings.
This certificate confirms [Name] as a membership holder, membership number [0000].
How to customise it
Every word is editable, from the title to the signature line, including the member no., member since and valid until lines. It works in landscape or portrait, on A4 or US Letter, without you having to move anything. Text sizes adjust to fit, and you can choose another font for any line. The design comes with three colour schemes (Oxford Green, Ink Blue and Oxblood), and every single colour can be changed. There is an Arabic edition too, laid out right to left with Amiri.
Printing tips
For the best result, print on ivory or parchment paper of 160–200 gsm. Download the PDF at the paper size you will print on (A4 or US Letter) and set the printer to “Actual size” or 100%. Sign it in blue or black ink once it is printed for a personal touch.
