About this template
Clubs, societies and associations reach for designs like this one when they want to welcome a new member: a timeless Certificate of Membership that looks as good in a frame as it does in a folder. Elsie sets the title and Libre Franklin carries the details, with a ribbon rosette giving the page its character.
Suggested wording
Copy one of these lines into the certificate, then replace the words in brackets.
This certificate confirms [Name] as a membership holder, membership number [0000].
Presented to [Name] on election to [Grade] of [Society], [Year].
This certifies that [Name] is a [Grade] member of [Organisation], admitted on [Date]. Member no. [0000].
How to customise it
You can rewrite the whole certificate; the member no. and membership fields are already in place, and you can delete the ones you don’t need. The design comes with three colour schemes (Teak & Brass, Mahogany & Copper and Ebony & Gold), and every single colour can be changed. Choose A4, US Letter or A3, in landscape or portrait, and the layout rearranges itself to fit. Fonts can be swapped too; the defaults are Elsie and Libre Franklin. You can also upload a logo or a photo and place it anywhere on the page.
Printing tips
For the best result, print on ivory or parchment paper of 160–200 gsm. Print one copy on plain paper first to check the spelling and the margins. Standard A4 and Letter frames fit it without trimming.
