About this template
The Forest Green Banded Thesis Defence Certificate is a formal Thesis Defence Certificate template that universities, research groups and academic departments use to mark the day someone graduates. Crimson Text sets the title and Instrument Sans carries the details, with a bold band of colour giving the page its character. You will also find it under Achievement on CerShare.
Suggested wording
Copy one of these lines into the certificate, then replace the words in brackets.
Today we celebrate [Name], graduate of [Year]: may your next steps be as bold as the ones that brought you here.
Presented to [Name], Class of [Year], with pride in everything you have learned and excitement for everything still to come.
With this certificate, [School] confirms that [Name] has successfully completed Thesis Defence.
How to customise it
Every word is editable, from the title to the signature line, including the thesis and outcome lines. Fonts can be swapped too; the defaults are Crimson Text and Instrument Sans. Need portrait instead of landscape, or US Letter instead of A4? Change it in one click. Colours are yours to change: try Library Navy, or match your own brand colours. There is an Arabic edition too, laid out right to left with Amiri.
Printing tips
A cream, linen-textured paper of around 120 lb text (180 gsm) suits this classic layout. Print one copy on plain paper first to check the spelling and the margins. It fits a standard certificate frame or a document folder.
