About this template
Universities, colleges and graduate schools reach for designs like this one when they want to mark the day someone graduates: a traditional Dean's List Certificate that looks as good in a frame as it does in a folder. The colour scheme you see, Ink Blue, is one of three built into the design, with a ribbon at the heart of the layout. Change a few words and it doubles as a certificate of achievement.
Suggested wording
Copy one of these lines into the certificate, then replace the words in brackets.
[Name] has met every requirement of Dean's List with determination and good humour. We are proud to call you a graduate.
Today we celebrate [Name], graduate of [Year]: may your next steps be as bold as the ones that brought you here.
In honour of [Name], who completed Dean's List in [Year]. The tassel moves from right to left, and a new chapter begins.
How to customise it
You can rewrite the whole certificate; the semester GPA, credits completed and class standing fields are already in place, and you can delete the ones you don’t need. The design comes with three colour schemes (Claret & Paper, Ink Blue and Racing Green), and every single colour can be changed. Change the font or the size of any line if your text is longer than the sample. Choose A4, US Letter or A3, in landscape or portrait, and the layout rearranges itself to fit. Add your logo, a crest or a photo and drag it into place.
Printing tips
A cream, linen-textured paper of around 120 lb text (180 gsm) suits this classic layout. Download the PDF at the paper size you will print on (A4 or US Letter) and set the printer to “Actual size” or 100%. Sign it in blue or black ink once it is printed for a personal touch.
