About this template
Here is a traditional way to mark the day someone graduates: the Crimson Geometric PhD Completion Certificate, a template that suits universities, colleges and graduate schools. Look closely and you will notice a geometric pattern, set off by Ibarra Real Nova lettering in crimson. It works just as well as a course completion certificate or a certificate of achievement.
Suggested wording
Copy one of these lines into the certificate, then replace the words in brackets.
In honour of [Name], who completed PhD Completion in [Year]. The tassel moves from right to left, and a new chapter begins.
Awarded to [Name] on graduating from [School]. Thank you for the questions, the laughter and the hard work.
Congratulations, [Name]! You walked in curious and you walk out ready. With love from all of us at [School].
How to customise it
You can rewrite the whole certificate; the discipline, viva voce and supervisor fields are already in place, and you can delete the ones you don’t need. Colours are yours to change: try Doctoral Blue, or match your own brand colours. Fonts can be swapped too; the defaults are Ibarra Real Nova and Libre Franklin. It works in landscape or portrait, on A4 or US Letter, without you having to move anything. You can also upload a logo or a photo and place it anywhere on the page.
Printing tips
Heavy matte or parchment paper gives it the weight of an official document. Choose A4 in Europe and most of the world, or US Letter in North America, before you download. It fits a standard certificate frame or a document folder.
