About this template
Research institutes, labs and science competitions reach for designs like this one when they want to name a winner and make it official: a timeless Chemistry Prize Certificate that looks as good in a frame as it does in a folder. It is shown here in orange, with a geometric pattern, Noto Serif headings and Jost for the smaller text. Change a few words and it doubles as a certificate of appreciation.
Suggested wording
Copy one of these lines into the certificate, then replace the words in brackets.
Presented to [Name], champion of [Competition] [Year], with the admiration of every competitor.
Awarded to [Name], winner of Chemistry Prize, [Year].
In recognition of [Name], whose work was judged best in [Category] by [Judges].
How to customise it
You can rewrite the whole certificate; the field and prize-winning work fields are already in place, and you can delete the ones you don’t need. Choose A4, US Letter or A3, in landscape or portrait, and the layout rearranges itself to fit. Fonts can be swapped too; the defaults are Noto Serif and Jost. Colours are yours to change: try Midnight & Gold, or match your own brand colours. You can also upload a logo or a photo and place it anywhere on the page.
Printing tips
A cream, linen-textured paper of around 120 lb text (180 gsm) suits this classic layout. Download the PDF at the paper size you will print on (A4 or US Letter) and set the printer to “Actual size” or 100%. The background is dark, so a laser printer or a print shop will give the richest colour.
