About this template
The Navy Banded Poetry Prize Certificate is a formal Poetry Prize Certificate template that galleries, festivals and arts organisations use to name a winner and make it official. The colour scheme you see, Midnight Verse, is one of three built into the design, with a bold band of colour at the heart of the layout.
Suggested wording
Copy one of these lines into the certificate, then replace the words in brackets.
Presented to [Name], champion of [Competition] [Year], with the admiration of every competitor.
First place: [Name]. Presented at [Event] on [Date] in recognition of an outstanding entry.
In recognition of [Name], whose work was judged best in [Category] by [Judges].
How to customise it
You can rewrite the whole certificate, or keep the sample wording and just change the names. Fonts can be swapped too; the defaults are DM Serif Text and Cormorant Garamond. Colours are yours to change: try Ink & Ivory, or match your own brand colours. Need portrait instead of landscape, or US Letter instead of A4? Change it in one click. There is an Arabic edition too, laid out right to left with Amiri.
Printing tips
For the best result, print on ivory or parchment paper of 160–200 gsm. Download the PDF at the paper size you will print on (A4 or US Letter) and set the printer to “Actual size” or 100%. Sign it in blue or black ink once it is printed for a personal touch.
