About this template
Made with competition organisers, schools and clubs in mind, this Essay Contest Certificate helps you name a winner and make it official without starting from a blank page. The colour scheme you see, Green Ink, is one of three built into the design.
Suggested wording
Copy one of these lines into the certificate, then replace the words in brackets.
This certificate is presented to [Name] for winning [Category] at [Competition].
In recognition of [Name], whose work was judged best in [Category] by [Judges].
First place: [Name]. Presented at [Event] on [Date] in recognition of an outstanding entry.
How to customise it
You can rewrite the whole certificate; the winning essay, category and length fields are already in place, and you can delete the ones you don’t need. Colours are yours to change: try Red Pen, or match your own brand colours. Need portrait instead of landscape, or US Letter instead of A4? Change it in one click. Fonts can be swapped too; the defaults are Carter One and Lora. There is an Arabic edition too, laid out right to left with Aref Ruqaa.
Printing tips
Bright white matte paper of 160–200 gsm keeps the colours crisp. Choose A4 in Europe and most of the world, or US Letter in North America, before you download. It fits a standard certificate frame or a document folder.
