About this template
Organisations, schools and event hosts reach for designs like this one when they want to put a thank-you in writing: a formal Certificate of Gratitude that looks as good in a frame as it does in a folder. It is shown here in olive, with a round seal, Parisienne headings and EB Garamond for the smaller text. You will also find it under Volunteering on CerShare.
Suggested wording
Copy one of these lines into the certificate, then replace the words in brackets.
With heartfelt thanks to [Name] for supporting [Project] from the first day to the last.
Thank you, [Name], for always going the extra mile. We could not have done it without you.
In appreciation of [Name], whose time, energy and kindness helped [Organisation] through [Period].
How to customise it
Every word is editable, from the title to the signature line. It works in landscape or portrait, on A4 or US Letter, without you having to move anything. Text sizes adjust to fit, and you can choose another font for any line. Prefer another look? Switch to the Ink & Sealing Wax or Dove & Plum colour scheme, or pick any colour you like. There is an Arabic edition too, laid out right to left with Mirza.
Printing tips
A cream, linen-textured paper of around 120 lb text (180 gsm) suits this classic layout. Print one copy on plain paper first to check the spelling and the margins. Standard A4 and Letter frames fit it without trimming.
