Whether it is for one person or a whole group, the Purple Sunburst Citizen Science Volunteer Certificate gives research institutes, labs and science competitions a formal way to thank volunteers for their time. With a sunburst and Merriweather headings, it has a traditional feel, while the Blue Morpho palette keeps the colours fresh. Change a few words and it doubles as a certificate of appreciation.
Suggested wording
Copy one of these lines into the certificate, then replace the words in brackets.

How to customise it
You can rewrite the whole certificate; the sightings, seasons and transect fields are already in place, and you can delete the ones you don’t need. It works in landscape or portrait, on A4 or US Letter, without you having to move anything. Prefer another look? Switch to the Monarch or Brimstone Meadow colour scheme, or pick any colour you like. Change the font or the size of any line if your text is longer than the sample. Add your logo, a crest or a photo and drag it into place.
Printing tips
A cream, linen-textured paper of around 120 lb text (180 gsm) suits this classic layout. In the print dialog choose “Actual size” rather than “Fit”, so the border isn’t cropped. It fits a standard certificate frame or a document folder.
