Here is a modern way to record training that has been completed: the Navy Badge First-Time Manager Programme Certificate, a template that suits leadership programmes and HR teams. The colour scheme you see, Teal & Marigold, is one of three built into the design, with a badge at the heart of the layout. Change a few words and it doubles as a staff award.
Suggested wording
Copy one of these lines into the certificate, then replace the words in brackets.
[Name] has completed First-time Manager. Please keep this certificate with your training records.
Presented to [Name] on completing First-time Manager with [Organisation]. Thank you for keeping everyone safe.
This certifies that [Name] has completed First-time Manager ([4] CPD hours) on [Date], delivered by [Trainer].
How to customise it
Every word is editable, from the title to the signature line, including the duration and cohort lines. Change the font or the size of any line if your text is longer than the sample. Colours are yours to change: try Coral & Ink, or match your own brand colours. Choose A4, US Letter or A3, in landscape or portrait, and the layout rearranges itself to fit. Add your logo, a crest or a photo and drag it into place.
Printing tips
A smooth, bright white card stock (about 65–80 lb cover) gives the cleanest finish. Print one copy on plain paper first to check the spelling and the margins. Sign it in blue or black ink once it is printed for a personal touch.
