About this template
Use this fun Young Author Award to turn a small victory into a big moment. It suits teachers, subject leads and schools, and anyone else who wants the moment to feel official. Look closely and you will notice a ribbon and corner ornaments, set off by Noto Serif Display lettering in burgundy. The big, friendly type is easy for young readers to recognise as their own.
Suggested wording
Copy one of these lines into the certificate, then replace the words in brackets.
This award goes to [Name] for being brave, kind and trying your very best.
Well done, [Name]! Every day you are getting bigger, braver and better.
For [Name], who [did something amazing] this week. High five!
How to customise it
Click any line to change it: the recipient’s name, the wording, the date, author of and the signatures. Change the font or the size of any line if your text is longer than the sample. It works in landscape or portrait, on A4 or US Letter, without you having to move anything. Prefer another look? Switch to the Clothbound Teal or Navy Cloth colour scheme, or pick any colour you like. You can also upload a logo or a photo and place it anywhere on the page.
Printing tips
Bright white card of about 220 gsm makes the colours pop and stands up to small hands. Download the PDF at the paper size you will print on (A4 or US Letter) and set the printer to “Actual size” or 100%. Because of the dark background, check your ink first, or send the PDF to a local print shop.
