About this template
Use this traditional Writing Award to name a winner and make it official. It suits teachers, subject leads and schools, and anyone else who wants the moment to feel official. Oleo Script sets the title and Lexend carries the details, with corner ornaments giving the page its character. Change a few words and it doubles as a school certificate.
Suggested wording
Copy one of these lines into the certificate, then replace the words in brackets.
First place: [Name]. Presented at [Event] on [Date] in recognition of an outstanding entry.
Presented to [Name], champion of [Competition] [Year], with the admiration of every competitor.
Awarded to [Name], winner of Writing Award, [Year].
How to customise it
You can rewrite the whole certificate, or keep the sample wording and just change the names. Need portrait instead of landscape, or US Letter instead of A4? Change it in one click. Prefer another look? Switch to the Pencil Yellow or Berry Ink colour scheme, or pick any colour you like. Change the font or the size of any line if your text is longer than the sample. Add your logo, a crest or a photo and drag it into place.
Printing tips
Heavy matte or parchment paper gives it the weight of an official document. Download the PDF at the paper size you will print on (A4 or US Letter) and set the printer to “Actual size” or 100%. Sign it in blue or black ink once it is printed for a personal touch.
