About this template
Here is a classic way to name a winner and make it official: the Brick Red Chart Research Grant Award, a template that suits universities, colleges and graduate schools. It is shown here in brick red, with chart lines, Neuton headings and Albert Sans for the smaller text. You will also find it under Graduation on CerShare.
Suggested wording
Copy one of these lines into the certificate, then replace the words in brackets.
Congratulations to [Name] on Research Grant Award. A well-deserved win.
In recognition of [Name], whose work was judged best in [Category] by [Judges].
Winner of Research Grant Award: [Name]. Signed on behalf of the judging panel on [Date].
How to customise it
You can rewrite the whole certificate; the has been awarded funding for the research project, grant value and duration fields are already in place, and you can delete the ones you don’t need. Choose A4, US Letter or A3, in landscape or portrait, and the layout rearranges itself to fit. Prefer another look? Switch to the Lab Teal or Indigo Ink colour scheme, or pick any colour you like. Text sizes adjust to fit, and you can choose another font for any line. There is an Arabic edition too, laid out right to left with Noto Kufi Arabic.
Printing tips
A cream, linen-textured paper of around 120 lb text (180 gsm) suits this classic layout. Print one copy on plain paper first to check the spelling and the margins. Standard A4 and Letter frames fit it without trimming.
