About this template
The Plum Ribbon Academic Excellence Award is a traditional Academic Excellence Award template that universities, colleges and graduate schools use to name a winner and make it official. The colour scheme you see, Silver & Plum, is one of three built into the design, with a ribbon at the heart of the layout. It works just as well as a certificate of achievement or a graduation certificate.
Suggested wording
Copy one of these lines into the certificate, then replace the words in brackets.
Highly commended: [Name], for [Entry title]. The judges were impressed.
Awarded to [Name], winner of Academic Excellence Medal, [Year].
Winner of Academic Excellence Medal: [Name]. Signed on behalf of the judging panel on [Date].
How to customise it
You can rewrite the whole certificate, or keep the sample wording and just change the names. Need portrait instead of landscape, or US Letter instead of A4? Change it in one click. Prefer another look? Switch to the Royal Ribbon or Emerald Ribbon colour scheme, or pick any colour you like. Change the font or the size of any line if your text is longer than the sample. You can also upload a logo or a photo and place it anywhere on the page.
Printing tips
Heavy matte or parchment paper gives it the weight of an official document. Choose A4 in Europe and most of the world, or US Letter in North America, before you download. Standard A4 and Letter frames fit it without trimming.
