About this template

If you need to name a winner and make it official, this Honorary Award does it with a classic layout that competition organisers, schools and clubs will recognise straight away. On CerShare it comes in the Black Wax & Ivory Silk colour scheme, with a round seal as the centrepiece; the lettering pairs Gentium Book Plus with Source Sans 3. It works just as well as a certificate of achievement.

Suggested wording

Copy one of these lines into the certificate, then replace the words in brackets.

  1. Awarded to [Name], winner of Honorary Award, [Year].
  2. Congratulations to [Name] on Honorary Award. A well-deserved win.
  3. Highly commended: [Name], for [Entry title]. The judges were impressed.

How to customise it

You can rewrite the whole certificate, or keep the sample wording and just change the names. Fonts can be swapped too; the defaults are Gentium Book Plus and Source Sans 3. It works in landscape or portrait, on A4 or US Letter, without you having to move anything. Prefer another look? Switch to the Crimson Wax & Navy Silk or Oxblood & Forest Silk colour scheme, or pick any colour you like. Add your logo, a crest or a photo and drag it into place.

A cream, linen-textured paper of around 120 lb text (180 gsm) suits this classic layout. Choose A4 in Europe and most of the world, or US Letter in North America, before you download. It fits a standard certificate frame or a document folder.
