About this template
Competition organisers, schools and clubs reach for designs like this one when they want to name a winner and make it official: a traditional Certificate of Honour that looks as good in a frame as it does in a folder. The colour scheme you see, Sepia Engraving, is one of three built into the design, with a ribbon rosette at the heart of the layout. It works just as well as a certificate of achievement.
Suggested wording
Copy one of these lines into the certificate, then replace the words in brackets.
First place: [Name]. Presented at [Event] on [Date] in recognition of an outstanding entry.
Highly commended: [Name], for [Entry title]. The judges were impressed.
Presented to [Name], champion of [Competition] [Year], with the admiration of every competitor.
How to customise it
Click any line to change it: the recipient’s name, the wording, the date, with honour and the signatures. Prefer another look? Switch to the Intaglio Blue or Bordeaux colour scheme, or pick any colour you like. Text sizes adjust to fit, and you can choose another font for any line. It works in landscape or portrait, on A4 or US Letter, without you having to move anything. There is an Arabic edition too, laid out right to left with Blaka.
Printing tips
For the best result, print on ivory or parchment paper of 160–200 gsm. Download the PDF at the paper size you will print on (A4 or US Letter) and set the printer to “Actual size” or 100%. Sign it in blue or black ink once it is printed for a personal touch.
