About this template
Made with organisations, schools and award committees in mind, this Certificate of Honour helps you name a winner and make it official without starting from a blank page. The colour scheme you see, Midnight & Silver, is one of three built into the design, with scattered stars at the heart of the layout. Change a few words and it doubles as a certificate of achievement.
Suggested wording
Copy one of these lines into the certificate, then replace the words in brackets.
This certificate is presented to [Name] for winning [Category] at [Competition].
Awarded to [Name], winner of [Award name], [Year].
First place: [Name]. Presented at [Event] on [Date] in recognition of an outstanding entry.
How to customise it
Click any line to change it: the recipient’s name, the wording, the date and the signatures. The design comes with three colour schemes (Emerald & Gold, Midnight & Silver and Burgundy & Gold), and every single colour can be changed. Choose A4, US Letter or A3, in landscape or portrait, and the layout rearranges itself to fit. Fonts can be swapped too; the defaults are Marcellus SC and EB Garamond. There is an Arabic edition too, laid out right to left with Amiri.
Printing tips
For the best result, print on ivory or parchment paper of 160–200 gsm. Print one copy on plain paper first to check the spelling and the margins. Because of the dark background, check your ink first, or send the PDF to a local print shop.
