About this template
The Burgundy Laurel Scholarship Award is a formal Scholarship Award template that competition organisers, schools and clubs use to name a winner and make it official. With a laurel wreath and Libre Bodoni headings, it has a traditional feel, while the Oxblood palette keeps the colours fresh.
Suggested wording
Copy one of these lines into the certificate, then replace the words in brackets.
Highly commended: [Name], for [Entry title]. The judges were impressed.
Winner of Scholarship Award: [Name]. Signed on behalf of the judging panel on [Date].
First place: [Name]. Presented at [Event] on [Date] in recognition of an outstanding entry.
How to customise it
You can rewrite the whole certificate; the award value and academic year fields are already in place, and you can delete the ones you don’t need. Change the font or the size of any line if your text is longer than the sample. The design comes with three colour schemes (Midnight & Gold, Bottle Green and Oxblood), and every single colour can be changed. Choose A4, US Letter or A3, in landscape or portrait, and the layout rearranges itself to fit. There is an Arabic edition too, laid out right to left with Amiri.
Printing tips
Heavy matte or parchment paper gives it the weight of an official document. Choose A4 in Europe and most of the world, or US Letter in North America, before you download. Sign it in blue or black ink once it is printed for a personal touch.
