About this template

Here is a traditional way to name a winner and make it official: the Terracotta Medal Bravery Award, a template that suits competition organisers, schools and clubs. The colour scheme you see, Firehouse, is one of three built into the design, with a medal at the heart of the layout. You will also find it under Volunteering on CerShare.

Suggested wording

Copy one of these lines into the certificate, then replace the words in brackets.

  1. This certificate is presented to [Name] for winning [Category] at [Competition].
  2. Awarded to [Name], winner of Community Hero, [Year].
  3. Highly commended: [Name], for [Entry title]. The judges were impressed.

How to customise it

Every word is editable, from the title to the signature line. The design comes with three colour schemes (Civic Navy, Firehouse and Ranger), and every single colour can be changed. Change the font or the size of any line if your text is longer than the sample. It works in landscape or portrait, on A4 or US Letter, without you having to move anything. Add your logo, a crest or a photo and drag it into place.

Heavy matte or parchment paper gives it the weight of an official document. Download the PDF at the paper size you will print on (A4 or US Letter) and set the printer to “Actual size” or 100%. Sign it in blue or black ink once it is printed for a personal touch.
