About this template
Teachers, subject leads and schools reach for designs like this one when they want to name a winner and make it official: a contemporary Geography Award that looks as good in a frame as it does in a folder. The colour scheme you see, Desert Dusk, is one of three built into the design, with a map and compass at the heart of the layout. Change a few words and it doubles as a school certificate.
Suggested wording
Copy one of these lines into the certificate, then replace the words in brackets.
This certificate is presented to [Name] for winning [Category] at [Competition].
First place: [Name]. Presented at [Event] on [Date] in recognition of an outstanding entry.
Winner of Geography Award: [Name]. Signed on behalf of the judging panel on [Date].
How to customise it
Click any line to change it: the recipient’s name, the wording, the date and the signatures. Choose A4, US Letter or A3, in landscape or portrait, and the layout rearranges itself to fit. Fonts can be swapped too; the defaults are Podkova and Archivo. The design comes with three colour schemes (Topo Night, Ocean Floor and Desert Dusk), and every single colour can be changed. There is an Arabic edition too, laid out right to left with Noto Kufi Arabic.
Printing tips
A smooth, bright white card stock (about 65–80 lb cover) gives the cleanest finish. Print one copy on plain paper first to check the spelling and the margins. The background is dark, so a laser printer or a print shop will give the richest colour.
