About this template
Schools, managers and club leaders reach for designs like this one when they want to celebrate a goal that has been reached: a formal Certificate of Merit that looks as good in a frame as it does in a folder. Petit Formal Script sets the title and Source Serif 4 carries the details.
Suggested wording
Copy one of these lines into the certificate, then replace the words in brackets.
Presented to [Name] in recognition of outstanding achievement in [Area] during [Year].
In recognition of [Name]’s achievement on [Date]. Proof that persistence pays off.
Presented with pride to [Name] for an outstanding achievement, from everyone at [Organisation].
How to customise it
You can rewrite the whole certificate, or keep the sample wording and just change the names. Fonts can be swapped too; the defaults are Petit Formal Script and Source Serif 4. Need portrait instead of landscape, or US Letter instead of A4? Change it in one click. Colours are yours to change: try Iron Gall, or match your own brand colours. Add your logo, a crest or a photo and drag it into place.
Printing tips
Heavy matte or parchment paper gives it the weight of an official document. Choose A4 in Europe and most of the world, or US Letter in North America, before you download. It fits a standard certificate frame or a document folder.
