About this template
Here is a contemporary way to record training that has been completed: the Slate Modern Negotiation Skills Certificate, a template that suits L&D teams and corporate trainers. It is shown here in slate grey, Ubuntu headings and Mulish for the smaller text. You will also find it under Achievement on CerShare.
Suggested wording
Copy one of these lines into the certificate, then replace the words in brackets.
[Name] has successfully completed Negotiation Skills and is competent in the procedures covered. Valid until [Expiry date].
[Name] has completed Negotiation Skills. Please keep this certificate with your training records.
This is to confirm that [Name] attended Negotiation Skills on [Date] and passed the practical assessment.
How to customise it
You can rewrite the whole certificate, or keep the sample wording and just change the names. Text sizes adjust to fit, and you can choose another font for any line. Prefer another look? Switch to the Teal & Terracotta or Navy & Brick colour scheme, or pick any colour you like. Choose A4, US Letter or A3, in landscape or portrait, and the layout rearranges itself to fit. You can also upload a logo or a photo and place it anywhere on the page.
Printing tips
Bright white matte paper of 160–200 gsm keeps the colours crisp. In the print dialog choose “Actual size” rather than “Fit”, so the border isn’t cropped. Sign it in blue or black ink once it is printed for a personal touch.
