About this template
Space camps, science centres and flying clubs reach for designs like this one when they want to record training that has been completed: a contemporary Astronaut Experience Certificate that looks as good in a frame as it does in a folder. Jost sets the title and Hanken Grotesk carries the details, with planets and orbits giving the page its character. Change a few words and it doubles as a course completion certificate.
Suggested wording
Copy one of these lines into the certificate, then replace the words in brackets.
For completing Astronaut Experience: [6] hours of training, including theory, practice and a final check.
This is to confirm that [Name] attended Astronaut Experience on [Date] and passed the practical assessment.
Certificate number [0000]: [Name] completed Astronaut Experience on [Date]. Refresher due [Month Year].
How to customise it
You can rewrite the whole certificate; the training days, simulator sessions and mission fields are already in place, and you can delete the ones you don’t need. Choose A4, US Letter or A3, in landscape or portrait, and the layout rearranges itself to fit. Fonts can be swapped too; the defaults are Jost and Hanken Grotesk. Colours are yours to change: try Gold Visor, or match your own brand colours. There is an Arabic edition too, laid out right to left with Alexandria.
Printing tips
Use a smooth white paper rather than parchment, so the clean lines stay sharp. In the print dialog choose “Actual size” rather than “Fit”, so the border isn’t cropped. It fits a standard certificate frame or a document folder.
