About this template
The Purple Medal Spelling Bee Certificate is a playful Spelling Bee Certificate template that primary teachers, nurseries and parents use to reward students and staff. It is shown here in purple, with a medal, Chewy headings and Nunito for the smaller text. The big, friendly type is easy for young readers to recognise as their own.
Suggested wording
Copy one of these lines into the certificate, then replace the words in brackets.
In recognition of [Name]’s excellent progress in [Subject]. Keep up the great work!
Congratulations, [Name]! You have been named Student of the Week for [Reason].
This certificate is awarded to [Name] for Spelling Bee, [School Year].
How to customise it
You can rewrite the whole certificate, or keep the sample wording and just change the names. Fonts can be swapped too; the defaults are Chewy and Nunito. Need portrait instead of landscape, or US Letter instead of A4? Change it in one click. The design comes with three colour schemes (Honey, Clover and Lavender), and every single colour can be changed. You can also upload a logo or a photo and place it anywhere on the page.
Printing tips
Print it on thick card (200–250 gsm) so it survives the fridge door. Choose A4 in Europe and most of the world, or US Letter in North America, before you download. Sign it in blue or black ink once it is printed for a personal touch.
