About this template
Youth groups, scouts and school programmes reach for designs like this one when they want to reward students and staff: a fun Youth Parliament Certificate that looks as good in a frame as it does in a folder. It is shown here in burgundy, with flowing waves, Quando headings and Source Sans 3 for the smaller text. The big, friendly type is easy for young readers to recognise as their own.
Suggested wording
Copy one of these lines into the certificate, then replace the words in brackets.
Presented to [Name], [Class], for outstanding effort and attitude in [Term].
Congratulations, [Name]! You have been named Student of the Week for [Reason].
With thanks to [Name] for everything you do for the pupils of [School].
How to customise it
You can rewrite the whole certificate; the constituency, committee and motions tabled fields are already in place, and you can delete the ones you don’t need. Choose A4, US Letter or A3, in landscape or portrait, and the layout rearranges itself to fit. Change the font or the size of any line if your text is longer than the sample. The design comes with three colour schemes (Chamber Green, Upper Red and Civic Blue), and every single colour can be changed. There is an Arabic edition too, laid out right to left with El Messiri.
Printing tips
Print it on thick card (200–250 gsm) so it survives the fridge door. Download the PDF at the paper size you will print on (A4 or US Letter) and set the printer to “Actual size” or 100%. Sign it in blue or black ink once it is printed for a personal touch.
