About this template
Made with port operators, maritime academies and shipping firms in mind, this Harbour Pilot Certificate helps you confirm a professional qualification without starting from a blank page. Radley sets the title and Mulish carries the details, with flowing waves giving the page its character. It works just as well as a training certificate or a certificate of achievement.
Suggested wording
Copy one of these lines into the certificate, then replace the words in brackets.
[Name] is hereby recognised as a [Title], having passed the assessment on [Date] with a score of [Score].
[Organisation] confirms that [Name] holds Harbour Pilot at [Level].
Registered: [Name], registration number [0000], effective [Date].
How to customise it
Every word is editable, from the title to the signature line, including the pilotage district, vessel class and supervised acts lines. Choose A4, US Letter or A3, in landscape or portrait, and the layout rearranges itself to fit. Colours are yours to change: try Black Hull, or match your own brand colours. Text sizes adjust to fit, and you can choose another font for any line. Add your logo, a crest or a photo and drag it into place.
Printing tips
A cream, linen-textured paper of around 120 lb text (180 gsm) suits this classic layout. In the print dialog choose “Actual size” rather than “Fit”, so the border isn’t cropped. Standard A4 and Letter frames fit it without trimming.
