About this template
Here is a contemporary way to confirm that someone took part: the Orange Badge Hackathon Honourable Mention, a template that suits event organisers and conference hosts. On CerShare it comes in the Peach Punch colour scheme, with a badge as the centrepiece; the lettering pairs Anybody with Space Grotesk. Change a few words and it doubles as a competition award.
Suggested wording
Copy one of these lines into the certificate, then replace the words in brackets.
This is to confirm that [Name] was registered for and attended [Event] in full.
Awarded to [Name] for active participation in [Programme], [Dates].
Thank you, [Name], for joining [Event] as a [Speaker, panellist or delegate].
How to customise it
You can rewrite the whole certificate; the team, project and placed fields are already in place, and you can delete the ones you don’t need. Need portrait instead of landscape, or US Letter instead of A4? Change it in one click. Colours are yours to change: try Lilac Acid, or match your own brand colours. Text sizes adjust to fit, and you can choose another font for any line. You can also upload a logo or a photo and place it anywhere on the page.
Printing tips
A smooth, bright white card stock (about 65–80 lb cover) gives the cleanest finish. Download the PDF at the paper size you will print on (A4 or US Letter) and set the printer to “Actual size” or 100%. It fits a standard certificate frame or a document folder.
