About this template
Here is a modern way to mark the day someone graduates: the Burgundy Starry Outstanding Graduate Award, a template that suits schools, colleges and graduation committees. Limelight sets the title and Figtree carries the details, with scattered stars giving the page its character. It works just as well as a competition award.
Suggested wording
Copy one of these lines into the certificate, then replace the words in brackets.
Today we celebrate [Name], graduate of [Year]: may your next steps be as bold as the ones that brought you here.
In honour of [Name], who completed Outstanding Graduate Award in [Year]. The tassel moves from right to left, and a new chapter begins.
Awarded to [Name] on graduating from [School]. Thank you for the questions, the laughter and the hard work.
How to customise it
You can rewrite the whole certificate, or keep the sample wording and just change the names. It works in landscape or portrait, on A4 or US Letter, without you having to move anything. The design comes with three colour schemes (Velvet Gold, Curtain Red and Teal Night), and every single colour can be changed. Fonts can be swapped too; the defaults are Limelight and Figtree. There is an Arabic edition too, laid out right to left with El Messiri.
Printing tips
A smooth, bright white card stock (about 65–80 lb cover) gives the cleanest finish. In the print dialog choose “Actual size” rather than “Fit”, so the border isn’t cropped. Because of the dark background, check your ink first, or send the PDF to a local print shop.
