About this template
Made with organisations, schools and teams of every kind in mind, this Mentor Appreciation Certificate helps you put a thank-you in writing without starting from a blank page. The colour scheme you see, Pine & Ochre, is one of three built into the design, with a map and compass at the heart of the layout. You will also find it under Volunteering on CerShare.
Suggested wording
Copy one of these lines into the certificate, then replace the words in brackets.
Presented to [Name] in recognition of a contribution that will be remembered long after [Event].
Presented to [Name] with gratitude for sharing your expertise at [Event] on [Date].
In appreciation of [Name], whose time, energy and kindness helped [Organisation] through [Period].
How to customise it
You can rewrite the whole certificate; the mentees guided, sessions and months fields are already in place, and you can delete the ones you don’t need. Fonts can be swapped too; the defaults are Domine and Karla. It works in landscape or portrait, on A4 or US Letter, without you having to move anything. The design comes with three colour schemes (Navy & Brass, Slate & Coral and Pine & Ochre), and every single colour can be changed. Add your logo, a crest or a photo and drag it into place.
Printing tips
A cream, linen-textured paper of around 120 lb text (180 gsm) suits this classic layout. Choose A4 in Europe and most of the world, or US Letter in North America, before you download. Sign it in blue or black ink once it is printed for a personal touch.
