About this template
The Burgundy Medal Certificate of Appreciation is a formal Certificate of Appreciation template that organisations, schools and event hosts use to put a thank-you in writing. The colour scheme you see, Oxblood, is one of three built into the design, with a medal at the heart of the layout. Change a few words and it doubles as a competition award.
Suggested wording
Copy one of these lines into the certificate, then replace the words in brackets.
This certificate of appreciation is presented to [Name] for outstanding support and dedication.
Thank you, [Name], for always going the extra mile. We could not have done it without you.
For [Name]: thank you for the patience, the encouragement and the many hours behind the scenes.
How to customise it
Click any line to change it: the recipient’s name, the wording, the date and the signatures. It works in landscape or portrait, on A4 or US Letter, without you having to move anything. Prefer another look? Switch to the Ink Blue & Gilt or Bottle Green colour scheme, or pick any colour you like. Change the font or the size of any line if your text is longer than the sample. There is an Arabic edition too, laid out right to left with Aref Ruqaa.
Printing tips
A cream, linen-textured paper of around 120 lb text (180 gsm) suits this classic layout. In the print dialog choose “Actual size” rather than “Fit”, so the border isn’t cropped. It fits a standard certificate frame or a document folder.
