About this template
Here is a traditional way to honour players, finishers and teams: the Brick Red Wave Sportsmanship Award, a template that suits coaches, sports clubs and leagues. The colour scheme you see, Willow, is one of three built into the design, with flowing waves at the heart of the layout. It works just as well as a competition award.
Suggested wording
Copy one of these lines into the certificate, then replace the words in brackets.
For [Name]: most improved player of the year, chosen by the coaches of [Club].
In recognition of [Name]’s outstanding performance at [Competition].
This certifies that [Name] has been promoted to [Belt or level] at [Club], [Date].
How to customise it
You can rewrite the whole certificate, or keep the sample wording and just change the names. Prefer another look? Switch to the Club Whites or Pavilion Navy colour scheme, or pick any colour you like. Choose A4, US Letter or A3, in landscape or portrait, and the layout rearranges itself to fit. Fonts can be swapped too; the defaults are Old Standard TT and Mulish. You can also upload a logo or a photo and place it anywhere on the page.
Printing tips
For the best result, print on ivory or parchment paper of 160–200 gsm. Print one copy on plain paper first to check the spelling and the margins. Sign it in blue or black ink once it is printed for a personal touch.
