About this template
Port operators, maritime academies and shipping firms reach for designs like this one when they want to confirm a professional qualification: a crisp Marine Engineering Certificate that looks as good in a frame as it does in a folder. It is shown here in black, with gears, Germania One headings and Titillium Web for the smaller text. It works just as well as a certificate of achievement.
Suggested wording
Copy one of these lines into the certificate, then replace the words in brackets.
[Name] is hereby recognised as a [Title], having passed the assessment on [Date] with a score of [Score].
Registered: [Name], registration number [0000], effective [Date].
Presented to [Name] in recognition of achieving Marine Engineering, [Level], on [Date].
How to customise it
You can rewrite the whole certificate; the level, workshop hours and final grade fields are already in place, and you can delete the ones you don’t need. It works in landscape or portrait, on A4 or US Letter, without you having to move anything. Change the font or the size of any line if your text is longer than the sample. Prefer another look? Switch to the Engine Room or Steel Blue colour scheme, or pick any colour you like. You can also upload a logo or a photo and place it anywhere on the page.
Printing tips
Use a smooth white paper rather than parchment, so the clean lines stay sharp. Choose A4 in Europe and most of the world, or US Letter in North America, before you download. The background is dark, so a laser printer or a print shop will give the richest colour.
