About this template
Whether it is for one person or a whole group, the Navy Banded English as a Second Language Certificate gives language schools, libraries and writing groups a formal way to close a course with something worth keeping. The colour scheme you see, Navy Cloth, is one of three built into the design, with a bold band of colour at the heart of the layout. Change a few words and it doubles as a certificate of achievement.
Suggested wording
Copy one of these lines into the certificate, then replace the words in brackets.
This certifies that [Name] has successfully completed English as a Second Language, [12] hours of guided study, on [Date].
This is to confirm that [Name] attended and completed English as a Second Language, led by [Instructor], from [Start date] to [End date].
[Name] finished English as a Second Language with a final grade of [Grade]. Congratulations on a course well done.
How to customise it
You can rewrite the whole certificate; the example, cefr level and course hours fields are already in place, and you can delete the ones you don’t need. Text sizes adjust to fit, and you can choose another font for any line. Prefer another look? Switch to the Cloth Red or Green Cloth colour scheme, or pick any colour you like. It works in landscape or portrait, on A4 or US Letter, without you having to move anything. You can also upload a logo or a photo and place it anywhere on the page.
Printing tips
Heavy matte or parchment paper gives it the weight of an official document. Print one copy on plain paper first to check the spelling and the margins. Standard A4 and Letter frames fit it without trimming.
