About this template
Language schools, libraries and writing groups reach for designs like this one when they want to close a course with something worth keeping: a classic Arabic Language Course Certificate that looks as good in a frame as it does in a folder. Look closely and you will notice corner ornaments and a fine border, set off by Cardo lettering in burgundy. Change a few words and it doubles as a certificate of achievement.
Suggested wording
Copy one of these lines into the certificate, then replace the words in brackets.
[Name] finished the Arabic Language Course with a final grade of [Grade]. Congratulations on a course well done.
For completing the Arabic Language Course and putting new skills into practice from the very first session.
This certifies that [Name] has successfully completed the Arabic Language Course, [12] hours of guided study, on [Date].
How to customise it
You can rewrite the whole certificate; the level and contact hours fields are already in place, and you can delete the ones you don’t need. Prefer another look? Switch to the Lapis & Saffron or Emerald & Gold colour scheme, or pick any colour you like. It works in landscape or portrait, on A4 or US Letter, without you having to move anything. Fonts can be swapped too; the defaults are Cardo and Commissioner. There is an Arabic edition too, laid out right to left with Aref Ruqaa.
Printing tips
A cream, linen-textured paper of around 120 lb text (180 gsm) suits this classic layout. Download the PDF at the paper size you will print on (A4 or US Letter) and set the printer to “Actual size” or 100%. Sign it in blue or black ink once it is printed for a personal touch.
