About this template
Use this formal Writing Competition Winner Certificate to name a winner and make it official. It suits competition organisers, schools and clubs, and anyone else who wants the moment to feel official. On CerShare it comes in the Plum Press colour scheme, with a ribbon as the centrepiece; the lettering pairs Alegreya with Lato. You will also find it under School on CerShare.
Suggested wording
Copy one of these lines into the certificate, then replace the words in brackets.
Presented to [Name], champion of [Competition] [Year], with the admiration of every competitor.
In recognition of [Name], whose work was judged best in [Category] by [Judges].
Congratulations to [Name] on Writing Competition Winner. A well-deserved win.
How to customise it
Every word is editable, from the title to the signature line. Fonts can be swapped too; the defaults are Alegreya and Lato. It works in landscape or portrait, on A4 or US Letter, without you having to move anything. Colours are yours to change: try Library Green, or match your own brand colours. There is an Arabic edition too, laid out right to left with Noto Naskh Arabic.
Printing tips
For the best result, print on ivory or parchment paper of 160–200 gsm. In the print dialog choose “Actual size” rather than “Fit”, so the border isn’t cropped. It fits a standard certificate frame or a document folder.
